  1. We (family of five – 3 young kids) stayed at Wyndham Villa over the Easter break and had a fab time. The house is beautifully furnished, well equipped, spacious and very comfortable. The kids loved The Den! The location is great too – it’s really well placed for a selection of great beaches that cater for families as well as surfers. This was our first time in Braunton and we’ll definitely be going back.

  2. 100% happy to recommend!!
Great house, great town and beaches locally, easy access to lots of other nice destinations. The lady who owns it makes it easy for you to rent. We took the 6 of us, myself, my wife, two sons in their 20’s a girlfriend and our younger son 11, perfect house for adults and kids!
The house is as nice as the photos show!

  3. We (2 couples and a 1 year old) stayed at Wyndham Villa at the end of September 2011 for 2 nights and had a brilliant time.

The house was very spacious, and beautifully furnished. We were all amazed at how much thought had gone into furnishing and equipping it. The patio area was set on 2 levels with lovely views of Braunton, there was even a mini fridge hidden under the steps to keep our drinks cool!

The “den” was great for keeping the little one entertained and the sun room next to the kitchen was perfect for storing the surf boards.

Just a short walk away we found pubs, restaurants and a small supermarket. The nearby beaches were fantastic too. We surfed at Saunton Sands which was a 5 minute drive away.

The owner Sarah was very helpful from start to finish, giving us information on local activities and supermarkets.

We were all so impressed, we hope to return again next year.

  4. Fantastic house in a great location!

The house was extremely comfortable and had everything you could possibly need. The Den was great for the kids which meant the grownups got some peace and quiet! We can recommend Watermouth Castle, Arlington Court, Atlantis Village, and the Go Karting at Barnstaple. We also enjoyed cycling the Tarka Trail and the beaches at Croyde and Putsborough. Can highly recommend At One and The Corner Bistro in Braunton for excellent food.
Had a lovely week in spite of the mixed weather and have never stayed in such a spacious, comfortable holiday house before!

  5. What a fantastic house! We couldn’t have asked for more. It is lovely to stay somewhere with everything you could possibly need.
The location is great: Croyde, Putsborough and Saunton were excellent, whatever the weather.
We loved the Corner Bistro in Braunton, especially strolling down there for breakfast at the weeked (Eggs Benedict!).
Will definitely return for another stay.

  6. A fabulous, well thought-out, spacious house, with everything you could possibly need, including fluffy white towels! A superb location in North Devon, fantastic beaches, we especially enjoyed Putsborough for surfing and ‘skimming’! Easy to walk into Braunton centre and ‘Squires’ Fish & Chip shop is a must! Easy walk to pubs and restaurants and it was a bonus not to use the car.
We’ve had a very relaxing holiday with great weather, and have even managed to dine in the garden some evenings. Thank you – we shall return!

  7. We have all had a fantastic holiday at Wyndham Villa. The accommodation was perfect for us; spacious, well equipped, and in a superb location. It was very much a ‘home from home’.
We strolled to Braunton every day for a browse and a coffee and then had great days out in Croyde, Ilfracombe, and Lynton/Lynmouth. We embarked on our journey home relaxed and refreshed from our stay in North Devon. Special thanks,

  8. We have had a fantastic relaxing weekend in a beautiful house. The decor and furnishings and facilities were top notch. It felt like a holiday the second we walked through the door and we enjoyed every minute we spent in this lovely house.

  9. * * Superb Christmas! * *

We are a large family with 5 young adult children. For Christmas 2012 we all decided we wanted some luxury by the sea. Wyndham Villa looked great in its description but when we arrived there we found that the house far exceeded our expectations.
Everything works, the bathrooms are splendid, the bedrooms are spacious with crisp linen, and there’s a fine pub just 3 minutes’ walk away. The owners went to the trouble of leaving some Christmas decorations – they are easy people to deal with.
We all voted our stay at Wyndham Villa the best Christmas we’ve had for several years, including our daily blustery walks on nearby Saunton Sands, one of the best beaches in England.
Thoroughly recommend Wyndham Villa, we hope to return.

  10. Great base to explore North Devon!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wyndham Villa. We were 3 couples and 1 baby, and we found everything at Wyndham Villa suited our needs. The biggest draw for us was having a bathroom for each couple – something that is very rare in this price range!
The kitchen was very well equipped, and the living room was a nice size to relax in and engage in conversation. It was a little too cold for us to use the decking area, but we think it would be a fantastic space to spend a hot summer’s afternoon, with a barbeque and great views of the sea. Wyndham Villa was perfectly situated for Braunton town. We all recommend staying at Wyndham Villa as your base for exploring the coast of North Devon.

  11. We stayed at Wyndham Villa in the last week in August 2013 (6 adults and 1 child). The property is spacious and has top quality furnishings. There was more than enough equipment and space for everyone to enjoy their time together as well as have their own space!
Beautifully furnished and everything you could want home from home was available. Location was perfect for us, easy driving to lots of places to visit in the area as well as walking distance to the local bistros and restaurants, which is lovely that no one has to drive (and happens very rarely in a large group). We even had a lovely sunny evening out on the deck with fab fish and chips from the local restaurant.

    Thanks

  12. GREAT SHORT BREAK WITH EXTENDED FAMILY!
We booked Wyndham Villa for a short break in October 2013 last minute and we were very lucky to find such a gem for a large group of 10 family members, including 5 children aged 3-10. From the outset the incredibly efficient and personable owner could not have done more to make the booking process easy and quick and was even flexible in our check-out times which was a huge bonus. The house is deceptively large and incredibly spacious, with a Den in the attic kitted out brilliantly for kids including toys, DVD’s, books and a sofabed for them to sleep on if required. All beds were comfortable and complete with quality coverings and duvets – it really felt like a home from home. Fittings were clean, high spec and well maintained with enough cutlery and utensils to furnish an army! We didn’t want for anything during our stay as even the bodyboards, buckets and spades were provided along with detailed instructions for every appliance. We felt like guests in someone else’s beautiful house which was in a perfect location and suited all ages. All in all a great stay and we WILL be back!

  13. ** A real gem of a place **
A beautifully appointed house – warm, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The owner was a pleasure to deal with, and provided many thoughtful touches that made our stay really special (e.g. Christmas decorations, a welcome pack of goodies, and presents for the children).
The area is beautiful and, despite pretty appalling weather, we managed a few excursions to the local beaches. We would recommend Wyndham Villas unreservedly, and hope to return in sunnier times.
Definitely a cut above the rest!

  14. FEB 2015: We had a fantastic stay with 4 adults and 3 under 5s. The house is set up ideally for a family on each of the two top floors. We used the 2nd floor double and the ‘Den’ and our friends used the king and a twin room on the first floor – leaving a twin room unused! It never felt crowded with 7 of us. Having 3 bathrooms was a major bonus and the kitchen was better equipped than any self catering rental we have stayed in before.
It is only a short walk into Braunton for great cafes, restaurants, shops and the local play park and we could drive to the beach in a few minutes. We bought all of our food in the local shops and only needed the car to go to the beach. The location is quiet and has stunning views over the town towards the sea.
For young children the house is heaven – no need to take toys, books, DVDs etc (or beach toys) as everything is provided – including fixed stair gates at the top of both flights of stairs, children’s crockery and cutlery etc.
The owner was very easy to deal with, responded to queries and issues promptly and genuinely wanted to ensure we had a great stay.
    We will definitely return.

  15. JUNE 2015: I recently got married in Braunton and stayed at Wyndham Villa together with my bridesmaids in the lead up to the big day. I’m so glad we found this place as it was absolutely perfect for us: enough space, bathrooms and mirrors for a group of girls getting ready, and only a two minute walk to the Church! The deck and terrace area was lovely and the perfect backdrop for photos once we were all glammed up, and the rest of the house was well appointed and beautifully finished. The owner was very accommodating and even left us a little something to help celebrate with, which was very kind. All in all, I would highly recommend Wyndham Villa for anyone looking to stay in this beautiful part of North Devon, you’ll be sure to have a lovely time!!

    Many thanks,
Mrs Blackburn and her bridesmaids xx

  16. July 2015: PERFECT! Having not been to this part of Devon before, we were delighted to find Wyndham Villa. It really is the perfect home-from-home, particularly with 3 young children. The house had everything we could have needed to make our stay comfortable. As a keen cook, there was nothing the kitchen was missing by way of equipment or utensils. That said, once we had discovered the lovely restaurants within a very short walking distance in Braunton, there was little cooking to be done! The children loved the ‘den’ full of toys (I won’t pack so many on our next visit!) and we were delighted with the many jigsaws and family games available. We wanted for nothing (even crisp, white bed-linen, which I love). We were even able to park outside the property most of the time which is an added bonus with small children. The owner, Sarah Jane, couldn’t have been more helpful when we needed advice with hiring bikes for a family cycle (house is v close to Tarka Trail) and the whole booking experience through Sarah Jane was pleasant and efficient. All in all, a fantastic week. Lovely house, great restaurants, lots to see and do and the weather wasn’t bad, either! We’ll definitely be back to this gem that is Wyndham Villa!

  17. July 18th 2015: Thanks for a lovely stay. A great space for 2 families and the children felt right at home with all the toys in the Den! The house is the best-equipped we have stayed in, particularly the kitchen and beach toys. Thank you, Michelle, Simon, Chloe, Serena, Richard & Edward.

  18. May 2015: Wonderful to spend a week with 3 generations of family in the comfortable and well-equipped house. We have really enjoyed our stay and wish it could have been longer. We appreciated all the thoughtful details. With Thanks, Catharine & extended family.

  19. *** GREAT WEEK! ***
We had such a great week here (Sept 2015). The house is well appointed with everything we could need for my extended family (including kids). We all enjoyed the terraced style garden and spent a lot of time enjoying the view from the deck, with drink in hand. I loved the style of the house and decor. It’s an old town house with loads
of character, but it feels like you’re at the seaside too…which of course is true, the nearest beach is only 5minutes away by car. The house has been restored very well to retain a lot of the old charm whilst adding all the modern conveniences that you could wish for…Lovely bathrooms, decor, a practical kitchen and very comfy beds (a real unexpected treat in a holiday home). I am definitely coming back to Wyndham Villa! I have seen that others mentioned parking being an issue. I did not experience any problems parking. There is no ‘allocated parking’ with the house, but parking is allowed on the road outside and I have to say that we didn’t have any problems parking our 2 cars right outside.
